Surfin’ Safari, the Ultimate Beach Boys Tribute, to Headline Tropical Daze 2012
It’s been 50 years since five young Californians got together in the garage of their Hawthorne home and starting harmonizing on songs that are classics today.
Wouldn’t it be incredible to travel back to the 1960s to see the Beach Boys in their prime? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see their catalog of classic American summer tunes performed live, and to share the experience with your kids?
You can! It has been confirmed that Surfin’ Safari, the ultimate tribute to the Beach Boys, will be headlining at the Tropical Days Summer Music Festival. The event takes place July 21 and 22 at Thousand Oaks Community Park and benefits First 5/Conejo Valley. It also features food, fun activities for the kids and great shopping.
Visit the Tropical Daze website to see video of Surfin’ Safari grooving (and even looking) just like the Beach Boys did.
Tickets are just $5, and you’ll learn about opportunities to win a family 4-pack when you visit http://www.TropicalDaze.org and subscribe to the Tropical Daze newsletter by clicking on the “Get email updates” button, (or just enter your email in the column to the right). i have seen Surfin’ Safari on many occasions, and they are incredible! Not only do they perform this great music with all the energy and intensity it deserves, but they put on an unbelievably fun show. I love the real Beach Boys, but with all due respect Surfin’ Safari plays and performs the Beach Boys catalog better than the “Mike and Bruce” show. Do not miss this fantastic group!
